Early Works (2010-)

Before I began painting, I spent many years working as an art director and designer in Tokyo, where creativity was always used to find the best visual solution for clients and consumers.
I started painting in 2009. While design required a great deal of thinking, when creating art I sought to move beyond thought entirely.
Guided by the spirit of Zen, my creative process became a form of meditation —
a quiet time to listen and communicate with my own heart.
Through painting, I continue to explore my true self.
At the time, many people told me that my work reminded them of Jackson Pollock.
I had never studied him before, but when I later saw his paintings, I understood why —
the energy, the rhythm, the surrender to pure movement.
Around this time, I also began exploring performance art,
combining painting and dance as a way to express energy in motion.
These early experiments later evolved into a series of performances between 2010 and 2017, allowing audiences to reconnect with the creative force that lives within us all.
